About Us

Welcome!

Kirkwood Temple is a Christian Methodist Episcopal church of believers in Jesus! We are committed to building a new community based upon the Biblical mandate to demonstrate our love for Christ through the love we show for one another.

Under the visionary direction of our pastor, Dr. Jerry L. Christian, Sr. we have enhanced our commitment to building strong families, because we firmly believe that strong families make strong churches, strong churches make strong communities, and strong communities make strong nations. God has truly showered us with His blessings and caused our cups to run over with meaningful worship, worthy discipleship and continuous growth.

Mission Statement

Kirkwood Temple CME Church exists as a light in the community

to promote spiritual growth and maturity by demonstrating commitment

and rebirth in Christ through worship, prayer, fasting, and meditation.

Additionally, Kirkwood exists to develop biblically based ministries

for all people regardless of age and socio-economic status through

community activism, volunteerism, education, outreach, recruitment,

and financial commitment in order to bring hope, salvation

and the message of Christ to the world.

Vision Statement

Kirkwood Temple is a community of spiritually empowered people,
who reflect God’s love and advance God’s Kingdom. We are a fellowship
of believers, who are ambassadors for Christ, serving as a bridge to the world,
connecting it to Christ and the truths of His word… offering hope and encouragement
for this present age.
